My UDL journey started during my role as diversity specialist developing the Australian Curriculum to be incluisve of all learners https://www.australiancurriculum.edu.au/. My UDL focus is now on supporting implementation. Much of my consultancy work is based in high schools where I enjoy the challenge of bringing the expertise of both the diversity specialist and the subject specialist together to design more inclusive programs and assessments for all learners. The goal is to equip every class teacher with the skills, confidence and belief that they are responsible for designing learning for every learner in their class, while knowing they can (and should) collaborate with their colleagues and other professionals which includes parents and students.
