Jennifer Hicks is the Assistant Superintendent, Curriculum and Instruction for Placer County Office of Education. Ms. Hicks is responsible for supporting schools and districts with continuous improvement efforts. Her work has successfully integrated a framework for implementation science into professional learning, coaching and leadership development practices as well as worked to build systematic and sustainable foundations for school and district transformation efforts.  Ms. Hicks’ focus is on designing and promoting professional learning opportunities to promote research based school improvement practices.  She has developed and implemented several preparation programs for new teacher, beginning administrator and instructional coaches serving students from diverse populations. She serves on the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Board of Institutional Review, responsible for the accreditation of teacher and administrator preparation programs throughout the state.  In 2014, Jennifer was selected as the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Placer County and Region 2 Administrator of the Year for Curriculum and Instruction.  In 2017 she was selected as the Placer County Office of Education Manager of the Year.
