Empowering Expert Learners through Developmental Relationships Joni DegnerMost educators who design through the UDL framework would agree that relationships are an integral part of the learning process. Unfortunately, the way we develop relationships with learners can be narrowed by our implicit biases. This talk will look at the role of intentionality in extending developmental relationships to all students, not just those we perceive to be in our ingroup. We can foster equity and social justice by intentionally designing inclusive learning environments and intentionally extending developmental relationships to all learners.
