2019 UDL-IRN International Summit

BCPS recognizes that complex societal and historical factors contribute to the inequities our students face, and rather than perpetuating disparities, the school system must address and overcome inequity by providing all students with the opportunity to succeed. As BCPS enters its sixth year of systemic equity work we have developed coaching cohorts to assist our leaders in reflecting upon their own capacity as a leader for racial equity. UDL serves as the foundation of the design of these coaching cohorts. As a district, we are committed to utilizing the UDL framework to enhance the design and delivery of professional learning. In this session participants will learn how BCPS developed options for administrators and instructional coaches to help sustain and grow the equity vision of their school and district through 1:1 support, small group work, collaboration coaching sections and school-school visits.
